Terms of Use
By connecting a wallet, signing the acceptance message, or launching or trading a place coin on Topos, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. What Topos is
Topos is a self-service launcher for place coins: a coin tied to one real, verifiable place — a galaxy, planet, country, state, city, town, village or street. Topos provides software and an interface only. It is not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, bank, or financial, legal or tax adviser, and it never holds your funds or your keys.
2. Eligibility and restricted jurisdictions
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You must not use Topos if you are located in, resident of, or acting for a person in a jurisdiction where using it is unlawful, or in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions. You confirm you are not a sanctioned person and are not using Topos on behalf of one. Access may be blocked at any time without notice.
3. Wallet acceptance signature
The first time a wallet connects, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy with a single gas-free message signature. That signature is bound to topos.fun, to Robinhood Chain, to a single-use nonce and to a short expiry window. It proves you control the wallet and records your acceptance. It never moves funds and grants no spending permission. If these Terms change materially, you will be asked to sign again.
4. One place, one coin
Every place is claimable exactly once. The factory rejects a place key that already exists — there is no second Paris and no “Earth 2”. Where a match is found in the place index, the place name and region are set by Topos and the coin is marked verified. You choose the ticker. Attempting to launch derivative, duplicated, misleading or impersonating places is a breach of these Terms.
5. Fixed supply and locked metadata
Every coin mints exactly 1,000,000,000 tokens into a permanently locked liquidity position and opens around a $2.5K market cap. Once a coin is live, its place name, region, coordinates, postal details, description, logo and links are frozen permanently and cannot be edited by you or by Topos. Review everything before you sign.
6. Fees
Launching a coin costs a service fee of 0.00005 ETH plus network gas. Trades carry a 1% fee on buys and 1% on sells, split 80% to the coin creator and 20% to the platform. Network gas is set by Robinhood Chain, not by Topos. Fees may change for future launches; the values displayed at the moment you sign apply to that transaction.
7. Risk disclosure
Place coins are speculative and may have no value at all. Prices can go to zero. Blockchain transactions are irreversible: a wrong ticker, a wrong place, a wrong amount or a lost key cannot be undone by Topos. Smart contracts, wallets, RPC providers, indexers and bridges can fail or be exploited. Never launch or trade with money you cannot afford to lose entirely.
8. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the wallet you connect, every transaction and signature you approve, the content you publish (logos, descriptions, links and comments), and your own tax and regulatory obligations. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, hateful or deceptive content, impersonate a place authority, manipulate markets, spam the interface, or attempt to attack, scrape abusively, or reverse-engineer the service.
9. No warranty and limitation of liability
Topos is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Topos and its contributors are not liable for lost profits, lost tokens, market losses, downtime, indexer or explorer inaccuracies, third-party wallet or chain failures, or disputes over place identity or ownership.
10. Changes, termination and contact
We may update these Terms, the interface, or the availability of any feature. Coins already live on-chain stay live and remain immutable. Questions, takedown notices and place disputes: hello@topos.fun. Security reports: see /.well-known/security.txt.
